The position:

We’re looking for a Field Specialist. The pay is hourly and will be based on prior experience and performance. Extra work and training is available if a mix of office and field is desired.

Responsibilities include:

  • All field work relating to Environmental Site Assessments and Remediation for commercial/industrial and oil and gas clients
  • Reclamation and Detailed Site Assessments
  • Field reporting and some office related tasks

 

Minimum requirements:

  • Prior experience with field work in all seasons
  • Organized and detail-orientated
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude
  • Alberta Class 5 Driver’s licence with clean abstract and the ability to drive on lease/forestry roads
  • Comfortable with working alone in the ‘bush’ and away from home
  • Must be independent and resourceful since working alone without cell service is required
  • Good communication and management skills for supervising contractors
  • Be physically fit; be able to walk 5 kms and dig holes

 

Required Safety Tickets:

  • Standard First Aid with CPR, H2S Alive, Bear Aware, Ground Disturbance, Common Safety Orientation, TGD and WHMIS

 

The location:

This position offers the opportunity to travel throughout western Canada.
