Elvie

Senior Ecologist

Elvie holds a BSc in Ecology and is a member of the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists and the College of Applied Biology British Columbia. She has experience in the full range of consulting services in the environmental industry, from baseline studies, and initial approvals to reclamation, remediation and attainment of the final reclamation certificate.

Kassandra

Professional Biologist, Operations

Kassandra has a Bachelor of Science and is currently registered with the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists as a Professional Biologist. Kassandra has been with Ballast Environmental since 2008 working in various roles. The majority of her experience is working in the Oil and Gas sector conducting Phase 1,2,3 ESAs, DSAs and Reclamation Certificate Applications. Additionally, she monitors current processes and operations for effectiveness and productivity. She works with all team members to identify areas of improvement and with the CEO to strategize and prioritize those areas of improvement.

Chloe

Junior Environmental Scientist

Chloe holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Acadia University and is registered as Geologist in Training with APEGA. Chloe has knowledge and experience completing ESAs for commercial/industrial and upstream oil & gas sites, monitoring/directing drilling operations and geotechnical materials testing. Her accomplishments include technical assistance to transportation and infrastructure sector in the Greater Toronto Area and over 20 agronomy research projects.

Kendra, Project Support: Kendra has a Business Administration Diploma from SAIT Polytechnic and over 10 years’ experience as an administrative professional. She has been with Ballast Environmental for over 2 years supporting team members on various projects in both the oil & gas and commercial/industrial divisions.

Kelly

Field Supervisor

Kelly has over 30 years€™ experience in supervisory roles in a commercial/industrial environment with training in team and communication skills. His extensive experience includes interpretation and knowledge of facilities and associated infrastructure, process flow diagrams and various chemical and waste handling and storage practices. He also has over 30 years€™ experience with equipment operations/limitations as well as the relationship with terrain, soil and drainage leading to his knowledge in reclamation guidelines, protocol and process. Kelly has been with Ballast Environmental for over 5 years specializing in Phase 1 ESA site visits and reclamation.
